Good Service Can Come in Small Packages

Nestled in a small shopping strip in the suburbs of Wagga Wagga is a little post office.  It has all the same services as other post office outlets; postage, bill paying, passports and a range of gift ideas etc.

This outlet has recently been awarded runner up in the Australia post retail awards NSW/ACT Rural south RNP for customer service and post office operations, as well as its contribution to the community.

That is quite a mouthful - but wait, there's more........they also came 5th in NSW and 9th nationally!

So how does this small outlet obtain such accolades?  Well I can tell you from personal experience......

Mount Austin Post Office is my "local".  It's where I go to collect any of that important mail or packages and it's also the nearest post office to where I live. Their staff of 7 are friendly and helpful - no matter what time of the day or how many people have been lined up to be served.  They go out of their way to accelerate people through the queue without upsetting anyone and they take the time to ensure that every transaction is completed efficiently and delivered with cheer.

Local Licensee Russell Campbell has owned and operated the Mount Austin Post Office for 22 years all up and firmly believes that offering exceptional customer service is the key to success.

He encourages the staff to become involved in the business, provides continuous communication and training and believes that if you look after your staff, they will look after your business.

So next time you need a stamp, want to send a parcel or renew your passport – support your local suburban post office.

Congratulations to Russell, Emily, Abby, Elise, Janine, Doug and John – keep up the great work.
